Job summary

Gwinnett County Public Library is seeking a Library Associate PT for the Buford Branch to deliver customer service, assist with technology and reader's advisory needs, and support branch operations. The role involves coordinating programs and outreach, maintaining collection guidance, and providing passport services where designated.

The position requires an Associate’s degree preference and at least one year of related customer service experience, with the ability to work in a fast-paced team

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree preferred; some college credit accepted.
• One year of related customer service experience.
• Possess good communication and teaching skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assists library customers with information, technology, and reader's advisory needs and locating materials via library systems and internet.
• Supports daily branch operations, handles inquiries, balances fees, and assists with collection management.
• Coordinates and conducts library tours and community presentations for schools, non-profits, and businesses.
• Recommends materials for the collection and assists with inventory and shelving duties.
• Participates in branch programming, outreach events, and training to maintain professional skills.
• Provides passport services, including processing applications, taking photos, payments, and forms access where applicable.
