Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; applicants may be working toward a diploma.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous customer service, library, or public service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, respectful, and responsive customer service in line with Library values.
• Interpret the Library's mission, policies, and services for patrons.
• Carry out opening and closing procedures.
• Sort, organize, shelve, and shelf-read library materials.
• Assist customers with technology and online catalog resources.
• Perform circulation functions using the library system: check in/out materials, register new cards, process holds, collect fines.
• Provide basic reference and readers' advisory assistance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and welcoming environment.
• Assist with displays, exhibits, programming, and outreach activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
