Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months of customer service experience.
• Familiarity with public libraries, services, materials, and programs.
• Experience working in a library or educational environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality customer service to patrons.
• Provide general information and reader advisory using print and online resources.
• Perform daily branch opening and closing procedures.
• Provide circulation services and staff information desks as assigned.
• Assist with receiving/preparing library materials for circulation; shelve materials.
• Support marketing of library collection, services, and programs through displays.
• Assist patrons with basic computer software and devices; escalate issues as needed.
