Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Team Member to help maintain a clean, well-organized store and foster a customer-first culture through high standards. You will assist customers, operate a cash register, stock merchandise, and perform cleaning tasks as directed by the Store Team Leader.

The role involves assisting in merchandising, following planograms, and supporting store leadership to maximize sales while protecting assets. Prior supervisory exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandising guides.
• Proficient with basic mathematics (percentages) for transactions.
• Experience operating a cash register and handling cash.
• Knowledge of cash handling policies and deposit control.
• High school diploma or equivalent and six months supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service and assist customers in locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register, scan items, total purchases, and make change.
• Maintain clean, organized store and uphold safety standards.
• Assist in stocking and merchandising to drive sales.
• Open/close the store as directed by leadership.
• Follow company SOPs and protect company assets.
