Job summary

ICF is seeking a Lead Historic Preservation Specialist to provide regional leadership on environmental compliance projects. This part-time role (30 hours/week) involves mentoring junior staff, serving as a client-facing technical lead, and managing proposals, budgets, and schedules.

The ideal candidate will have a strong architectural history background and regulatory compliance experience, with ability to manage projects and client relationships across teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in cultural resources management.
• Master’s degree in Architectural History or related field.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass an MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in architectural history and QA/QC for reports prepared by junior staff.
• Manage projects related to environmental compliance and cultural resource management, including client contact, budget control, invoicing, and scheduling.
• Evaluate resources for National Register of Historic Places and develop management recommendations for complex challenges.
• Collaborate in integrated teams of cultural resources specialists to solve problems with other stakeholders.
• Support long-term objectives with programmatic strategies from feasibility studies through implementation.
