Job summary

ICF’s Project Archaeologist role (Remote) in Georgia seeks a full-time professional to lead archaeological surveys, testing, and data recovery, with emphasis on NEPA/Section 106 and regulatory compliance. You will work with senior staff on projects across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic and mentor junior team members.

Applicants should have a Master’s in Anthropology/Archaeology, 3+ years of experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Anthropology/Archaeology or closely related field.
• 3+ years of professional, related experience.
• Meets Secretary of the Interior’s Qualification Standards for Archaeology.
• Must have valid driver’s license and pass MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Direct archaeological surveys, testing, and data recovery fieldwork.
• Provide analysis for environmental regulatory reviews under NEPA/NHPA.
• Develop technical approaches, analyses, and documentation.
• Prepare technical reports for agency and SHPO consultation.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on projects.
• Lead or assist with Section 106 consultation.
