Chestnut Grove Association Inc. in New Milford, CT seeks a part-time cook to join our culinary team. The role is 25–30 hours per week with duties including food preparation, kitchen supervision, and menu collaboration for a senior living community serving daily meals.

You will work 2–3 days with the head chef and occasionally sole-chef shifts on Sundays and Mondays, including several November days. This is an in-person opportunity in a team-focused environment.

Qualificações

• Strong background in dietary department practices and food production techniques.
• Extensive culinary experience with expertise in food handling and safety sanitizing procedures.
• Leadership experience with kitchen staff or supervisor roles.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in food preparation and cooking for dining and catering events, ensuring high quality and presentation.
• Support supervision of kitchen staff and service teams during shifts, ensuring smooth operations and service.
• Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper storage and food safety.
• Participate in menu planning to meet dietary requirements and customer preferences.
• Uphold food safety standards by following sanitizing procedures and maintaining a clean kitchen environment.
• Contribute to catering events by setting up stations and serving guests.
