Sunrise Senior Living in Fairfield, CT is seeking a part-time Cook to prepare meals for residents in accordance with menus and recipes. You will ensure quality, safety, and presentation while following dietary modifications and maintaining a clean, well-organized kitchen.

The role supports dining services, records temperatures, and contributes to a positive dining experience for residents. Responsibilities include stocking and labeling food, maintaining logs, and potentially leading production

Qualifications

• Prepare meals according to standardized recipes and menus.
• Follow dietary modifications and special meal requirements.
• Record production quantities and food safety temperatures.
• Stock, rotate, date, and store food per safety regulations.
• Maintain clean kitchen, storage, and equipment areas.
• Lead food production in the absence of the Dining Services Coordinator.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to standardized recipes and menus.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet Sunrise standards.
• Follow dietary modifications and special meal requirements.
• Record production quantities and food safety temperatures.
• Stock, rotate, date, and store food per safety regulations.
• Maintain clean kitchen, storage, and equipment areas.
• Complete cleaning logs and equipment maintenance reports.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines.
• Support dishwashing and dining service as needed.
• Lead food production in the absence of the Dining Services Coordinator.
