Job summary

AoPS Academy in Morrisville, NC is hiring a Part-Time Language Arts Instructor to teach language arts using the company curriculum. The role involves guiding small classes and engaging students in a collaborative, student-led learning environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree (education or humanities preferred) with strong reading, writing, and grammar knowledge, and prior teaching or tutoring experience. Availability for weekday evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or a humanities field is strongly preferred.
• Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, and/or grammar.
• Experience teaching or tutoring students.

Responsibilities

• Teach using company-created curriculum for advanced language arts.
• Lead small classes (up to 16 students) with student-led learning.
• Manage classroom activities and time effectively.
• Grade tests and provide feedback to students and families.
• Build relationships with students and families to support learning journeys.
• Inspire love for learning and critical thinking in language arts.
