Job summary

AoPS Academy is hiring a Part-Time Language Arts Instructor for the Austin campus. You will teach using a company-created curriculum for advanced students in afterschool hours and on weekends.

Classes meet weekly for 1 hour 45 minutes, with a maximum of 16 students per class, and you will provide ongoing feedback on student progress. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree (education or humanities preferred) and have prior teaching or tutoring experience in K-12 settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or humanities preferred.
• Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, and/or grammar.
• Experience teaching or tutoring students.
• Classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach language arts using company-created curriculum for advanced students.
• Lead small classes and ensure active student participation.
• Manage up to 16 students per class.
• Grade tests and provide constructive feedback.
• Build relationships with students and families to support learning outcomes.
• Inspire a love for learning and critical thinking in language arts.
