Job summary

AoPS Academy in San Mateo, CA is seeking a Part-Time Language Arts Instructor to teach advanced students using our curriculum in a small-class setting after school and on weekends.

You will engage students, manage up to 16 learners, grade tests, provide feedback, and build relationships with families to support lasting learning. A Bachelor’s degree is required; no teaching credential is needed. Each course meets once weekly for 1h45m, with weekday evenings and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; education or humanities preferred.
• Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, and grammar.
• Experience teaching or tutoring students.
• Ability to engage students and manage small classes.
