Job summary

AoPS Academy in Fremont, CA is seeking a Part-Time Language Arts Instructor to guide advanced students after school and on weekends, teaching from our company-created curriculum. You will lead small classes, actively engage students, and provide thoughtful feedback to help learners grow.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and experience in teaching or tutoring, with strong reading, writing, and grammar knowledge. No credential required.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• A Bachelor's degree in education or a humanities field is strongly preferred.
• Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, and/or grammar.
• Experience teaching or tutoring students.

Responsibilities

• Teach Engaging Curriculum using company materials for advanced students.
• Engage Students in student-led learning during each class.
• Classroom Management for up to 16 students.
• Grade and provide feedback on tests.
• Build relationships with students and families.
• Inspire learning and critical thinking in language arts.
