Covenant Health is looking for a Registered Nurse, Lactation Consultant in Knoxville, TN. This part-time role involves providing breastfeeding education and support to nursing staff and mothers. You will coordinate services, perform bedside lactation rounds, document care, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate should have at least two years of hospital experience as a staff nurse and a current Tennessee nursing license. Additional certification as a lactation consultant will be required within 18 months of starting the position.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a hospital as a staff nurse required.
• Certification by the International Board of Lactation Examiners (IBCLE) within 18 months of starting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates services for lactating mothers and assesses patient needs.
• Performs daily bedside lactation rounds.
• Documents care and education provided to mothers and babies.
