Covenant Health is looking for a Registered Nurse, Lactation Consultant in Knoxville, TN. This part-time role involves providing breastfeeding education and support to nursing staff and mothers. You will coordinate services, perform bedside lactation rounds, document care, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate should have at least two years of hospital experience as a staff nurse and a current Tennessee nursing license. Additional certification as a lactation consultant will be required within 18 months of starting the position.

Responsible and accountable for breastfeeding education and support of nursing staff and mothers who plan to breastfeed.
Minimum Education:
None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.
Minimum Experience:
Two (2) years of experience in a hospital as a staff nurse required.
Licensure Requirement:
Must have and maintain current Tennessee nursing license. Certification by the International Board of Lactation Examiners (IBCLE) within 18 months of starting the position.
