Job summary
Columbus Regional Hospital is seeking a part-time Lactation Consultant (RN) to support breastfeeding education and inpatient counseling for new mothers in the Women and Children unit. The role requires a BSN or higher, Indiana RN license, and IBCLC certification within 2 years, with BLS on file, to lead patient education and staff development.

Qualifications
- Current Indiana RN license; IBCLC certification within 2 years.
- Minimum three years experience with childbearing families or maternal health nursing.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Commitment to Quality Improvement training within six months.
Responsibilities
- Establish inpatient lactation counseling for mothers with breastfeeding problems.
- Provide lactation counseling and support during acute illness as needed.
- Offer lactation education and discharge planning; document progress.
- Coordinate outpatient consultations and treatment plans for breastfeeding difficulties.
- Develop and revise breastfeeding materials and policies.
- Lead breastfeeding education for healthcare professionals and the community.
