Job summary

HCA Healthcare laboratories are seeking a Part Time Laboratory Assistant/Phlebotomist to support specimen collection, processing, and registration under supervision. You will perform venipunctures and finger sticks appropriate to patient age groups, while ensuring accurate labeling and timely submission of samples.

The role emphasizes adherence to procedures, patient safety, documentation, and cooperation with a multidisciplinary team to meet turnaround times and quality goals.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates ability to collect specimens and document procedures per written protocols.
• Experience with registration/clerical duties in a clinical lab setting is preferred.
• Must follow safety and privacy policies and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens from pediatric to geriatric patients as required.
• Process, label, and prepare specimens for testing and courier pick-up.
• Enter orders and manage specimen documentation in the LIS.
