Job summary

Loverboy in San Antonio, TX is seeking a part-time prep cook to join our kitchen team ahead of opening later this year. You will chop vegetables, assemble salads, prep items, and help with basic cooking tasks while maintaining cleanliness.

You are a team player with strong customer-service mentality, punctuality, and attention to detail, able to stand long hours and lift items as needed. Previous high-volume restaurant experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent verbal communication; punctual and reliable attendance.
• 1+ year of experience in a high-volume establishment.
• Well-groomed and professionally dressed following uniform standards.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift items.
• Positive and professional attitude in every aspect.

Responsibilities

• Follow prep list daily to prep items for the shift.
• Label, date and stock items in walk-in cooler.
• Accurately measure ingredients per spec.
• Wash, chop and sort ingredients like fruits, vegetables, and meats.
• Prepare salads, guacamole and other menu items per recipes.
• Parboil foods, reduce sauces, and prepare simple dishes.
• Set up salad prep cooler and station with inserts.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitize utensils and areas.
• Maintain a sanitizer bucket at the station.
• Assist other cooks to open stations properly.
• Set up and season the tortilla griddle and prep tortillas.
• Assist cooks and expeditors with kitchen clean-up.
