Job summary

City of Mason is seeking a Program Coordinator to oversee daily operations of a drop-in childcare program (Kids Korner) and supervise staff. The role focuses on safety, engagement, and excellent customer service for families, reporting to a Program Supervisor.

The position includes staff training, scheduling of birthday party rentals and climbing wall activities, and support for program administration within the Parks & Recreation Department.

Qualifications

• Acquire and maintain current certification in American Red Cross Standard First Aid and CPR.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Ability to lift and move objects.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Good organization and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site supervision and instruction of drop-in childcare services in Kids Korner.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and developmentally appropriate environment.
• Create and oversee staffing for Kids Korner, birthday party rentals, and climbing wall.
• Lead training and onboarding of new staff on program standards and expectations.
• Schedule and manage responsibilities of birthday party rentals and climbing wall.
• Assist with administration of various programs and maintain documentation.
• Lead or attend in-service trainings and staff meetings as requested.
• Uphold City of Mason and Parks & Recreation Department policies.
