Allied Universal is hiring a Part-time Juvenile Correctional Security Officer in Columbia, SC. The role focuses on access control, monitoring entry points, and delivering courteous customer service within a government juvenile services environment.

Qualifications

Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
Background investigation required.
Drug screen required.
Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, residents, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific security procedures and access-control policies.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification, maintain logs, and direct individuals per facility procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents and notify appropriate personnel or emergency services as directed.
Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Document daily activities and incidents in accordance with policies.
