Job summary

Work Skills Corporation (WSC) is hiring a Job Coach/Job Mentor to provide hands-on employment support to individuals with disabilities at community employer sites in Michigan. This part-time role focuses on helping people learn job duties, understand workplace expectations, and gain independence through personalized coaching.

You'll work in real-world settings, building communication, problem-solving, and workplace skills while traveling between employer locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities are needed.
• Ability to work independently and travel to multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on on-site coaching and support to individuals learning job duties.
• Teach workplace expectations and routines to promote independence.
• Help individuals strengthen communication, social, and problem-solving skills.
• Identify strengths and tailor teaching methods to each person.
• Monitor progress and complete required documentation and progress reports.
• Travel to community employer sites based on assigned individuals' schedules.
