Job summary

Work Skills Corporation (WSC) is seeking a part-time Job Coach/Job Mentor to provide hands-on employment support to individuals with disabilities and barriers to employment. The role is community-based, traveling to employer sites to teach job duties, workplace expectations, and independence.

The position emphasizes one-on-one coaching, travel between sites, and collaboration with a supportive team. Candidates should have strong communication skills, reliability, and a passion for helping others

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, on-the-job coaching and support.
• Help individuals learn job duties safely, accurately, and successfully.
• Teach workplace expectations, routines, and appropriate workplace behaviors.
• Help individuals strengthen communication, social, and problem-solving skills.
• Identify individual strengths and determine the best ways to teach new skills.
• Model job tasks and positive workplace behaviors.
• Provide encouragement, feedback, and positive reinforcement.
• Help individuals become increasingly independent as they gain confidence and master their responsibilities.
• Identify workplace challenges and help develop practical solutions.
• Communicate with employers to help create successful and inclusive work experiences.
• Collaborate with WSC team members and others involved in an individual's employment success.
• Monitor progress and complete required documentation and progress reports.
• Travel to community employment sites based on assigned individuals and their work schedules.
