Job summary

Lansing Community College seeks a part-time Academic Professional - Tutor in Computer Information Technology. You will provide proactive tutoring and mentoring to support learning outcomes and student success, reinforcing retention and completion goals.

On-campus duties may include Fall, Spring and Summer scheduling with evening and weekend shifts. Regular on-campus presence is required, with flexible or hybrid arrangements possible, and a commitment to serving a diverse student population.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Information Technology or related field
• Experience tutoring, supplemental instruction, learning assistant, teaching assistant, academic coaching, teaching, or training
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Available to work on campus 12–30 hours per week, including evenings and weekends

Responsibilities

• Provide learning support to students through proactive tutoring and mentoring.
• Liaise with academic programs and participate in departmental training and professional development.
• Participate in mentoring, peer reviews, and a team-based approach to support student success
