Job summary

York Technical College is seeking an IT Services Specialist I - Part-Time to support campus technology. You will install and maintain PCs, projectors, and video conferencing equipment, and assist with imaging and inventory tasks across staff, labs, classrooms, and testing centers.

You will respond to Help Desk tickets, provide on-site technical support, and participate in IT projects and events as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with experience supporting PCs and related technology.
• Experience with classroom technology and end-user IT support is preferred.
• Experience assisting with events and campus-wide technology initiatives is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Installs and maintains PC hardware, software, and peripherals for staff, labs, classrooms, and testing centers.
• Provides network support from device to patch panel and deploys PC images using documented procedures.
• Supports classroom technology like projectors, large displays, and video conferencing.
• Resolves Help Desk escalations and may provide coverage for Help Desk.
• Assists with IT-related projects and campus events.

The IT Services Specialist I - Part-Time performs the following functions:

• Installs and maintains PC hardware, software, and peripherals (printers, scanners, ip phones, etc.) for employees, labs, classrooms, and testing centers. Provides network support from device to patch panel. This will entail utilizing various hardware/software tools to deploy pc images, inventory PCs, update PCs, and encrypt PCs. Follow documented procedures.
• Installs and maintains technology specific to classrooms, including projectors, large screen displays, and document cameras. Provide support for web meetings / video conferencing.
• Resolves issues escalated from the Help Desk, including assisting end users in utilizing technology at York Technical College. May include providing coverage on Help Desk.
• Provides technical support to special events, such as new student orientations and technology fairs. Participates in IT related projects.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

High school diploma and experience working with PCs and related technology, whether it be as part of college class work or at a job related to supporting technology/PCs.
