Job summary

Soho House & Co in New York is seeking a Receiver who will handle and process all food and beverage stock ordered for the house. You will supervise storage areas, back landing, dry storage, wash area, walk-ins, chef storage, freight elevator, and garbage room while ensuring accurate documentation and a smooth flow of goods.

You will inspect shipments, verify quantities, and maintain FIFO across walk-ins and freezers.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in professional, high-volume operation.
• Ability to read and write English and follow safety instructions.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work under time constraints and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Receive all perishable and non-perishable beverage and food orders and verify plus document the quantity received of all produce, fruits, dry goods, liqueur, chemicals, and supplies.
• Provide support to vendors and management in the receiving of all other supplies as needed
• Check received merchandise (quality and quantity) and reject unacceptable merchandise
• Distribute merchandise accordingly to food safety rules and storage orders.
• Ensure the smooth working of FIFO of walk ins and freezer
• Conduct inventory as advised and communicate results to management
• Daily checklist with overnight porter
• Wipe down and sanitize all areas of bar storage to maintain a safe and healthy environment for the storage of consumable items
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
