Job summary

Savory is seeking a reliable Receiver to join our operations and kitchen teams in New York. You will receive, inspect, store, and rotate food, beverage, and supplies, maintaining accurate logs and FIFO practices while ensuring proper handling and sanitation.

In this role you’ll help keep cold and dry storage organized, assist with inventory tracking, and communicate delivery or facility issues to management. A strong attention to detail and ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
• Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently.
• Team-oriented with a flexible, can-do attitude.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records.
• DOH Food Handler's Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and properly store deliveries.
• Follow FIFO and maintain logs.
• Ensure proper food handling and sanitation.
• Wash and handle fresh produce as needed.
• Maintain clean receiving and storage areas.
• Safely handle chemicals and dispose of waste.
• Communicate issues to management.
• Support operations with additional duties.
