Job summary

Tulsa Tech is seeking an instructor to teach in the ACD program during evening hours. Classes run Monday through Friday with potential Saturday mornings. A CDL B with Passenger Endorsement and School Bus Instructor Endorsement is required, and experience teaching adults is preferred.

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Compensation is $35 per hour. Applicants should be reliable, punctual, and capable of maintaining current attendance and progress records while delivering effective

Essential Functions:

• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of and experience in the appropriate subject matter.
• Instruct students in competency-based program curriculum using current instructional strategies appropriate to the subject matter to assure highest quality classroom instruction.
• Effectively manage the classroom to create an optimal learning environment.
• Maintain up-to-date records of student attendance, academic progress and grades as required by district policy and certification/regulatory agencies.
• Ensure syllabus, supply list and lesson plans are current prior to each class taught.
• Demonstrate effective people skills, communication skills and professionalism (i.e. - prepared, reliable, responsible, punctual, etc.)
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in training and teaching others.
• Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the mission and goals of Tulsa Tech's ACD program.
• Participate in professional development opportunities as required by the ACD department.
• Perform all other duties as may be assigned by management from time to time.
