The Baroco Corporation in Massachusetts is seeking a Direct Care Support Provider- Instructor to deliver consumer training, skill development, and case management. You will support individuals with IDD through behavior management, mobility assistance, and community integration in a part-time daytime schedule.

The role emphasizes documentation, collaboration with IDT, and adherence to safety and professional guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year direct care experience with adults with IDD preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple individuals in classroom or community settings.
• Physical ability to support ADLs, transfers, and emergency interventions.
• 33 paid days off annually, including 24 PTO days and 9 paid holidays.
• Health Insurance and 401(K) at third month of employment
• After 1 year: Dental Insurance

Responsabilités

• Conduct consumer assessments and develop individualized training programs.
• Implement skill-building programs according to DHSP/IP plans.
• Develop teaching materials, lesson plans, and strategies for skill acquisition.
• Collaborate with consultants, interdisciplinary teams (IDT), and other professionals.
• Maintain Permanent Records and Work Files (Work Files CT only).
• Participate in case reviews and IDT meetings, providing progress updates.
• Complete all documentation and reporting accurately and on time.
• Implement behavior modification plans and collect behavioral data.
• Assist with ADLs, lifting up to 60 lbs, and mobility support.
• Intervene in medical and behavioral emergencies, including restraints.
• Supervise consumer services, activities, and goal achievement.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise community and volunteer outings.
• Transport consumers using company vehicles.
• Maintain professional appearance, punctuality, and adherence to policies.
• Follow all OSHA, safety, and company guidelines.
• Assist with staff orientation and special projects.
• (CT only) Obtain Medication Administration Certification and pass medications.
