Job summary

The Baroco Corporation in Massachusetts is seeking a Direct Care Support Provider to deliver individualized training and support to adults with IDD. The role focuses on consumer training, skill development, and case management within a supportive team.

It is a part-time position in Agawam with a structured schedule, opportunities for growth, and a strong emphasis on safety, documentation, and community integration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple individuals in classroom or community settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct consumer assessments and develop individualized training programs.
• Implement skill-building programs according to DHSP/IP plans.
• Develop teaching materials, lesson plans, and strategies for skill acquisition.
• Collaborate with consultants, interdisciplinary teams (IDT), and other professionals.
• Maintain Permanent Records and Work Files; participate in case reviews and IDT meetings.
• Complete all documentation and reporting accurately and on time.
• Implement behavior modification plans and collect behavioral data.
• Assist with ADLs, lifting up to 60 lbs, and mobility support.
• Intervene in medical and behavioral emergencies, including restraints.
• Supervise consumer services, activities, and goal achievement.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise community and volunteer outings.
• Transport consumers using company vehicles.
• Maintain professional appearance, punctuality, and adherence to policies.
• Follow OSHA, safety, and company guidelines.
• Assist with staff orientation and special projects.
• (CT only) Obtain Medication Administration Certification and pass medications.
