Job summary

The Baroco Corporation in Massachusetts is seeking a Direct Care Support Provider- Instructor for a part-time role in Pittsfield, MA. You will develop individualized training programs and support community integration for adults with IDD, while collaborating with IDT and supervising activities.

The position emphasizes behavioral management, documentation, and implements DHSP/IP plans, with responsibilities including ADLs assistance and occasional restraints.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year direct care experience with adults with IDD preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple individuals in classroom or community settings.
• Physical ability to support ADLs, transfers, and emergency interventions.
• 33 paid days off annually, including 24 PTO days and 9 paid holidays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct consumer assessments and develop individualized training programs.
• Implement skill-building programs according to DHSP/IP plans.
• Develop teaching materials, lesson plans, and strategies for skill acquisition.
• Collaborate with consultants, interdisciplinary teams (IDT), and other professionals.
• Maintain Permanent Records and Work Files and participate in reviews.
• Complete all documentation accurately and on time.
• Implement behavior modification plans and collect behavioral data.
• Assist with ADLs, lifting up to 60 lbs, and mobility support.
• Intervene in medical and behavioral emergencies, including restraints.
• Supervise consumer services, activities, and goal achievement.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise community and volunteer outings.
• Transport consumers using company vehicles.
• Maintain professional appearance, punctuality, and adherence to policies.
• Assist with staff orientation and special projects.
• Obtain Medication Administration Certification and pass medications when CT only
