Job summary

College of Southern Nevada invites applications for a Part-Time Instructor, ABE Math for FY 2027. In this role you will teach Basic Skills, Pre-HSE, and HSE preparation, using in-person and online tools to support adult learners in Las Vegas.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field, and prior experience teaching math at basic/intermediate levels or HSE prep. Schedule is 3–4 days weekly, mornings or evenings, with 8–10 week program.

Adult Basic Education High School Equivalency (HSE) instructor position in the Division of Workforce and Economic Development at the College of Southern Nevada. Instructors prepare adult learners for the HSE exam and post‑secondary pursuits using classroom instruction, online learning, and career exploration.

Compensation

Salary: $23.00 – $30.00 hourly.

Schedule

Program length: Approximately 8‑10 weeks. Class schedule: 3‑4 days per week, 3 hours per class. Morning session: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Evening session: 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Locations may vary throughout the Las Vegas Valley.
