Job summary

College of Southern Nevada invites applications for Part-Time Instructor, ABE Math - FY 2027. The instructor will teach math for HSE/ GED prep, support adult learners, and contribute to program development in the Las Vegas Valley.

Responsibilities include delivering basic to intermediate math instruction, maintaining accurate records, using TABE, CASAS, Aztec and WorkKeys portals, and collaborating with colleagues to meet curriculum standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, Literacy, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Experience teaching basic through intermediate level math and/or High School Equivalency (HSE) preparation.

Responsibilities

• Teaching Basic Skills, Pre-HSE, and HSE preparation, including mathematics.
• Maintaining and submitting accurate student records (syllabi, attendance, lesson plans).
• Using a variety of teaching techniques and assessments to support the program.
• Attending professional development opportunities and collaborating with colleagues.
