The College of Southern Nevada is seeking a part-time instructor for ABE Math – FY 2027 in the Las Vegas Valley. Responsibilities include teaching HSE/GED/HiSET math prep, maintaining records, and supporting program goals.
Applicants should have a relevant bachelor’s degree and experience with hybrid classes, and be able to use digital tools to monitor progress and deliver engaging lessons.
Adult Basic Education (ABE) High School Equivalency (HSE) instructor positions are available with the Division of Workforce and Economic Development at the College of Southern Nevada. The department will, on an as‑needed basis, select individuals to fulfill part‑time, temporary, non‑tenure‑track instructional needs.
ABE instructors prepare adult learners from beginner to advanced levels of literacy and numeracy in preparation for the High School Equivalency (HSE) exam and post‑secondary professional and academic pursuits. Students may take either the GED or HiSET test to earn the HSE certificate issued by the State of Nevada. The program includes reading, writing, math, social studies, and science, and integrates classroom instruction, online learning, career exploration, and workplace skills.
