Job summary

St. Charles Community College in Missouri is seeking a Part-time Instructional Designer to research, inform, and provide professional development, while innovating teaching and technology approaches.

You will work with faculty to design content across online, hybrid, and face-to-face modalities, ensure accessibility and quality, and help implement learning outcomes using UDL, LMS tools, and multimedia materials.

Qualifications

• Master's in Instructional Design/Instructional Technology with 3+ years of related experience.
• Doctorate in a related field will be considered with at least 1 year experience.
• Two or more years of online or hybrid teaching is strongly preferred.
• Must be able to consult and monitor fair use and copyright in digital environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; building courses in an LMS using 3rd party tools; developing online multimedia materials; and HTML/CSS.
• Experience with Canvas, Respondus, Adobe Creative Suite, ARC, Camtasia, iSpring, and Snagit is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with faculty and staff in any teaching modality (online, hybrid, remote, flex).
• Analyze, design, and develop content, activities, assessments, and courses across modalities.
• Provide consultations on learning outcomes, accessibility, and instructional design concerns.
