Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in the subject field or Master’s Degree with at least 30 approved graduate semester hours in the subject or related fields.
• Bachelor’s Degree with a major in the subject field and relevant professional experience, or other combinations permitted by accrediting bodies.

Responsibilities

• Teaching assigned credit courses in accordance with approved outlines, syllabi, and instructional objectives.
• Preparing for instruction with course materials, learning activities, and assessments for the course modality (in-person, hybrid, or online).
• Delivering instruction using effective teaching strategies that support student engagement and learning.
• Assessing student performance, grading assignments and exams, and providing timely feedback.
• Maintaining accurate academic records including attendance, grades, and required documentation.
• Reporting midterm and final grades by established deadlines using college systems.
• Communicating course expectations, policies, and learning outcomes clearly to students.
• Maintaining office hours or student availability as defined by the department.
• Responding to communications within departmental timeframes.
• Using the LMS and instructional technologies as required.
• Ensuring courses comply with policies, accreditation standards, and accessibility requirements.
• Creating and maintaining a respectful, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Informing the Department Chair or Program Coordinator/Director when unable to meet a class.

Education

Master’s Degree in the subject field
