This role provides direct student support under supervision, aligned with district needs.

Base hourly wage is $16.56, with potential year-over-year experience/education adjustments. A candidate needs an Associate’s degree or 60 college credits; a ParaPro Test option is available.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 60 college credit hours required at time of hire.
• Pass the ParaPro Test provided by the district free of charge.

Responsibilities

• Work in close proximity with assigned teacher and specific students.
• Assist students, individually or in groups, to reinforce skills and/or oversee learning activities.
• Follow written plans to supplement classroom instruction.
• Assist with classroom computer instruction.
• Assist with translation when necessary.
• Participate in professional development to support student achievement.
• Participate in school improvement initiatives.
• Complete training to assist in assessment administration and scoring.
• Maintain regular and on-time attendance.
• Perform other related duties to ensure efficient functioning of the work unit.
• Assist with other assigned duties as appropriate to the area of assignment and Mesa Public Schools.
