Job summary

Stevenson Elementary in Mesa, Arizona is seeking an Instructional Assistant Title I & Non-Instructional Assistant to support teachers and students in Reading, Writing, and Math. The role is part-time (26.5 hours/week) with a base hourly rate of $16.56 and opportunities for annual performance pay.

Required qualifications include an Associate’s degree or 60 college credits, or passing the ParaPro Test. Bilingual ability (English/Spanish) may be preferred at some sites.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and families.
• Willingness to participate in professional development and school improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Assist assigned teacher and students in reading, writing and math support.
• Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce skills and supervise activities.
• Follow written plans to supplement instruction and assist with classroom technology.
• Translation support when necessary.
• Attend trainings to support student achievement and district initiatives.
• Maintain regular and on-time attendance.
