Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year experience as a cook in an institutional food service setting preferred.
• Knowledge of safe food handling, sanitation, and infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise culinary center staff in the absence of senior cooks or managers.
• Handle and store all food according to facility procedures and safety standards.
• Follow standardized recipes and prepare foods per RD-developed menus.
• Cook meals that are nutritious, safe, and served at proper temperatures.
• Maintain clean workspaces and equipment; prevent waste through efficient use of resources.
• Provide support for resident dietary preferences and respond to resident choices and refusals.
