Job summary

Perimeter Behavioral of Jackson is seeking a Dietary Cook to join our team and support adolescent care across our acute and residential services. The role focuses on preparing meals according to planned menus, adhering to therapeutic diet requirements, and ensuring clean, sanitized kitchen and dining areas.

Qualified candidates should have a High School Diploma and preferably 5 years of experience in a commercial setting.

• 5 years of experience in a commercial setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures meals are ready at a specified time.
• Follows types and quantities of meats, vegetables and soups prepared by reviewing planned menus.
• Able to follow therapeutic diet menus and instruct cooks' helpers accordingly.
• Monitor and adjust heat controls and re-calibrate thermometers as needed.
• Ensure kitchen and dining room areas are clean and sanitized.
