United Church Homes in Jackson, OH is seeking a part-time Cook to prepare nourishing meals for residents according to menus and therapeutic diets. You will oversee portion control, assist in scheduling, and ensure sanitation and safety standards in a care setting.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 2–4 years of cooking in a large-scale operation, plus ServeSafe certification and ability to work with diverse teams. This position is on-site at Four Winds Community.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow standardized recipes and menus.
• Knowledge of sanitation and food safety practices.
• Strong reading and writing skills in English.

Responsabilités

• Reviews menus and work orders to determine quantities of food to prepare for all dining rooms.
• Prepares meals according to planned menus and standardized recipes in a sanitary manner.
• Reviews menus to identify foods required for therapeutic diets and makes substitutions as needed.
• Operates kitchen equipment and maintains sanitation of the Dining Services area.
• Directs and assists in daily cleaning and storage of food.
• Maintains confidentiality of necessary information.
