Job summary

Open Arms Care Corp is seeking a Part Time Physical Therapist in Memphis, TN to evaluate individuals with developmental disabilities and provide targeted therapy to maintain mobility and function. The role requires a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (or grandfathered PT status), Tennessee licensure, and CPR within 30 days of hire; experience with developmental disabilities is preferred.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and participate in staff education and home-based treatment

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy or grandfathered PT status.
• Must have passed the National Physical Therapy Examination.
• Current Licensure from the TN Board of Physical Therapy.
• Experience with developmental disabilities preferred, not required.
• CPR certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial admission and annual assessments and screenings for PT needs.
• Establish and implement effective treatment plans with functional goals.
• Assess movement dysfunction and develop corrective plans.
• Provide staff education and activity programs.
• Assist with orthotic devices, wheelchairs, gait supports; educate staff.
• Observe, evaluate and adjust treatment plans based on results.
• Collaborate with Open Arms Care locations as needed.
• Advise clients and staff on at-home treatment options and exercises.
• Participate as a vital member of the Interdisciplinary Team.
