Job summary

Open Arms Care in Tennessee is seeking a Physical Therapist for part-time or PRN work to complete initial admissions and ongoing assessments, establish and adjust treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include Doctorate in Physical Therapy, TN licensure, CPR within 30 days, and a valid driver's license; experience with developmental disabilities is preferred. The role involves lifting and assisting clients, and may require travel between locations.

Qualifications

• Must be Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Must have passed the National Physical Therapy Examination.
• Current licensure from the TN Board of Physical Therapy.
• CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial admission and annual assessments and screen changes in PT supports.
• Establish and implement effective treatment plans with functional goals.
• Assess movement dysfunction and develop plans to address it.
• Provide staff education and contribute to activity programs.
• Assist with orthotics, wheelchairs, gait supports and staff training on equipment.
• Observe, evaluate and document treatment results and modify plans accordingly.
• Work with other Open Arms Care locations as needed.
• Advise on in-home treatment options and exercises.
• Be an active team member of the Interdisciplinary Team.
