Job summary

Step Up Family Services seeks a part-time Behavior Technician to provide 1:1 ABA services in-home and in community settings under the supervision of a BCBA. The role supports children with ASD and developmental disabilities and requires collaboration with families and the clinical team.

Responsibilities include data collection, treatment plan implementation, and maintaining professional conduct. Training toward RBT certification is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related college education preferred.
• Previous experience with children or ABA is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and ability to follow treatment plans and clinical direction.
• Ability to travel to client homes, community settings, or Step Up centers as required.
• Must meet background checks and credentialing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, individualized 1:1 ABA services under the direction and supervision of the BCBA.
• Implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs, including reinforcement and prompting.
• Support goals targeting communication, social, adaptive, academic, and other developmental skills.
• Collect and accurately document client data, progress, and session notes.
• Monitor client responses and communicate progress or safety concerns to the BCBA.
• Collaborate with families and the clinical team while maintaining professional boundaries.
