Van Leeuwen Ice Cream in Manhattan, NY is hiring part-time Scoopers at our Hudson St shop. You will greet guests warmly, scoop all menu items, and share our flavors with enthusiasm.

The role emphasizes hospitality and teamwork, with responsibilities including operating the Square POS, following food-safety guidelines, keeping the store clean, and helping with daily tasks. Must be 18+, lift 50 lbs, and be available for at least three shifts per week, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Genuine passion for ice cream and desserts.
• Dexterity to prepare and serve all menu items per standards.
• Able to push/pull/lift 50 lbs regularly.
• Stand for extended periods of time.
• Walk up and down stairs regularly.
• Stand, bend and reach for prolonged periods.
• Available to work 3 days per week including nights and weekends past 12 am.
• Reliable, on time and ready for every shift.

Responsibilities

• Greet every guest warmly with enthusiasm and hospitality.
• Scoop and serve guests while maintaining quality and presentation.
• Educate guests on flavors and offerings.
• Prepare fresh, house-made items daily.
• Operate Square POS for a seamless checkout.
• Follow food safety procedures and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain store cleanliness and stock inventory.
• Complete daily tasks and adhere to safety and grooming standards.
