Job summary

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is hiring part-time Scoopers at its Manhattan, NY scoop shops. You will greet guests, scoop and serve menu items, and share knowledge about flavors and specials.

Candidates should be 18+, have a food handlers certificate, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Availability for at least three shifts weekly, including late nights and weekends, is required. Competitive pay with tips and a fun team environment await.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food handlers certificate required.
• Able to push/pull/lift 50 lbs regularly.
• Stand for extended periods; walk stairs often.
• Available to work at least 3 shifts per week, including nights and weekends past 12 am.

Responsibilities

• Greet every guest warmly, with enthusiasm and hospitality.
• Scoop and serve all menu items while maintaining quality and presentation standards.
• Educate guests on flavors and offerings.
• Prepare fresh, house-made menu items daily.
• Operate Square POS for seamless checkout.
• Follow food safety procedures and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain store cleanliness and complete daily tasks (stocking, inventory, cleaning).
• Adhere to safety, grooming, uniforms and conduct standards.
