Job summary

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream in Manhattan, NY is hiring part-time Scoopers for our Times Square shop. You will greet guests warmly, scoop and serve all menu items, and share knowledge about flavors and ingredients with enthusiasm.

Join a fast-paced, high-energy team that prizes hospitality and reliability. Availability for at least three shifts per week, including nights past 12 am, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Genuine passion for ice cream and desserts.
• Able to lift 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods.
• Food handlers certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Greet every guest warmly, with enthusiasm and genuine hospitality
• Scoop and serve guests while maintaining quality and presentation standards
• Educate guests on flavors, ingredients and specials
• Prepare fresh, house-made menu items daily
• Operate the Square POS system for checkout
• Follow food safety procedures and sanitation guidelines
• Maintain store cleanliness and follow sanitation guidelines
• Complete daily tasks including stocking, inventory, and cleaning
• Follow Van Leeuwen's established safety, grooming, uniform, and employee conduct standards
