Van Leeuwen Ice Cream in New York City's Tribeca neighborhood is hiring part-time scoopers to join our flagship shop. You will greet guests, scoop and serve a full menu, educate guests on flavors, and maintain cleanliness while delivering our hospitality standards.

This role requires energy, teamwork, and a genuine passion for ice cream. We offer competitive hourly pay of $17 with tips averaging around $7, a flexible schedule, and opportunities for growth within a growing brand.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Genuine passion for ice cream and desserts.
• Food handlers certificate required.
• Availability to work at least three shifts per week, including nights and weekends past 12 am.
• Able to lift 50 lbs regularly.
• Stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet every guest warmly, with enthusiasm and genuine hospitality.
• Scoop and serve guests all menu items while maintaining quality and presentation standards.
• Educate guests on flavors, ingredients and special offerings.
• Prepare all fresh, house made menu items daily.
• Operate Square POS System for a seamless guest checkout.
• Follow food safety procedures and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain store cleanliness and inventory.
• Complete daily tasks including stocking and cleaning.
• Adhere to Van Leeuwen's safety, grooming, and conduct standards.
