Job summary

Cura Hospitality is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian to join our team at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in Natchitoches, LA. The role focuses on evaluating nutritional needs, planning interventions, and supporting residents’ wellbeing in a hybrid schedule (16-20 hours per week, some on-site and some remote).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (prior to 2024)
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain nutritional status and enhance quality of life
• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements
• Interact with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition
• Actively participate in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs
• Support care planning and residents’ rights adherence in daily operations
