Lighthouse Manufacturing in Portsmouth, NH is seeking an experienced Part-Time Human Resources Generalist to support our manufacturing operations. The role requires hands-on HR support, strong Paychex Flex proficiency, and the ability to manage payroll, onboarding, benefits, and compliance in a fast-paced setting.

You will work closely with management, production supervisors, and staff to handle payroll, employee relations, recruiting, and HR administration, with approximately 20 hours per week

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of HR experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Hands-on Paychex Flex experience including payroll processing and timekeeping.
• Ability to independently manage day-to-day HR responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll, timekeeping, and maintain employee records using Paychex Flex.
• Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, and personnel administration.
• Support recruiting for manufacturing, skilled trades, and administrative roles.
• Assist with employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
• Administer benefits, leave programs, and workers' compensation documentation.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and company policies.
• Monitor attendance, overtime, and payroll adjustments.
• Provide HR guidance to management and supervisors.
• Maintain confidential HR records.
