Job summary

Riverside in Austin, TX is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Manager to run day-to-day HR operations as the primary HR representative in a part-time hybrid role. You will partner with leadership, Finance, and vendors to manage recruiting, onboarding, benefits, payroll, and policy administration, while protecting confidentiality and ensuring compliant operations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years as an HR generalist and relevant Texas certifications; 25–30 hours per week with additional time

Qualifications

• 5+ years in HR generalist roles; small-company one-person HR.
• Certification: SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR or SPHR preferred.
• Ability to work 25–30 hours/week; extra during open enrollment.
• Experience in recruiting, employee relations, benefits, payroll, compliance; Texas employment law.

Responsibilities

• Partner with managers to develop job descriptions and recruit for multiple roles.
• Manage postings, screening, interviews, references, offers, and background checks.
• Lead onboarding, employment verification, orientation, and new-hire check-ins.
• Serve as HR contact for questions; handle investigations and separations; maintain policies.
• Administer benefits, payroll changes, and open enrollment; coordinate with brokers.
