Blue Plate Catering is seeking a Part-Time Human Resources Coordinator in Chicago to lead hourly recruiting efforts, coordinate new hire orientation, and assist with payroll processing.

The role offers 20-25 hours per week with potential peak-period hours, and requires a Bachelor’s in HR/Business along with 2+ years HR experience, Paylocity familiarity, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in HR operations, recruiting, and payroll administration.
• HRIS and payroll system experience (Paylocity preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment processes including postings, screening, interview scheduling, and offers.
• Coordinate and conduct new hire orientations and onboarding activities.
• Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing, reporting, and documentation.
• Maintain HR records and ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
